I ran the XP home edition recovery program and now I
receive a message stating the file c_20127.nls on Windows
XP Home Edition CD-ROM is needed. I can't get past this
stage, so I can't get to the internet to download any
files or patches.

Do I need to get a copy of this CD-ROM? The computer did
not come with this, the recovery program is on the hard
drive. Thanks.

So if I understand correctly, I need to download this file
to a disk and then insert the disk into the troubled
computer. Then when the message prompts me to type the
path of the file, I then tell it to read the file from the
disk drive.

The way I read it is you need the patch if your system falls into the
category described by the article, implication being that the patch resolves
the issue.
